Advent Calendar

I have been working on a few different projects but finally have this one done, and just in time! I combined a few different ideas I have seen over the years starting with the box advent calendars from Martha Stewart and Ali Edwards. I cut the boxes with my Cricut and numbered them with All Mixed Up letters on a simple scalloped circle. Then I hung the boxes on a garland and filled each with a few M&M's and the name of a Christmas book to read that day. The book idea was recently posted on Two Peas in a Bucket and I knew immediately it would be perfect for our family. The boxes are not as eclectic as the inspiration calendars, but that is just not my style so I went with what I know. :) Thanks for visiting!

Holiday Wishes

Here is another Christmas card I made with the Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses patterned paper pack. This pattern is so cute and I thought it worked with the little touch of pink accent paper strips and the green cardstock I had for the scalloped circle. I have had this Paper Salon sentiment stamp for years and pulled it out again to use. It is the perfect size for the 1-1/2" circle punch. Thank you for visiting!

Supplies: Archiver's (white cardstock), Bazzill Basic Paper (patterned cardstock), Basic Gray (patterned paper), Paper Salon (stamp), EK Success (circle and scalloped circle punches), Stampin' Up (scallop border punch).

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Here is my next Christmas card to share. This one is pretty simple again but I really like the holly leaves sticking off the edge of the card. I also think that the white border along the bottom breaks up the patterned paper nicely. Thank you for visiting!!

Supplies: Bazzill Basics Paper (cardstock), Bo Bunny (patterned paper), Penny Black (stamp), Sizzix (die cut), Stampin' Up (scallop border punch), Karen Foster (Scrapper's Floss), Unknown (button).

Merry Christmas

I have finally started my Christmas cards! I took Friday off from work to get my daughter's Christmas pictures taken as well as to have some "me" time as it was my birthday. So, I spent the afternoon at Archiver's making Christmas cards. I only came home with 10 cards completed but hopefully I can find some time every weekend to do that many again and I should have them all done on time!

For the majority of my cards I am going with a 4-1/4" square card. I found this idea on Lisa Johnson's blog for a pocket card where you can still get two from one piece of 8-1/2"x11" cardstock. Plus, it will also allow for some "hang-off" embellishments while still fitting in a standard A2 envelope.

Here is one that I created with some Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses paper and buttons I found at Archiver's. The stamp for the sentiment is Studio G that I picked up from Michael's last year. Stay tuned this week as I will try to get a card a day posted!!!

Supplies: Bazzill Basics Paper (cardstock), Basic Gray (patterned paper, button), Studio G (stamp), Stampin' Up (scallop border punch), EK Success (corner rounder punch), Unknown (ribbon).

Noel

ETA: The Biorkman family has requested that everyone stop sending cards as Noah is not doing well and they need to concentrate on their family at this time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

This is not a new card for me. I made it when I was designing for Simply Sentiments magazine for a Christmas issue. But when I found the Christmas card drive for Noah Biorkman I pulled this one out to send to him. Not sure of all the supplies but I know I used Making Memories foam stamps and buttons. Hope you can help birthten this young boy's day by sending a card. Thank you for visiting.

Long Break

I have not had to time nor resources (crashed modem) to post anything recently unfortunately. My goal is to start on Christmas cards and gifts very soon so that I can share those items here. If possible, I will try to share a project every couple of days through Christmas. That is a goal but not sure how probable it is! Stay tuned for some new projects within the next week!
